Valentine's Day Fun!

(February 2, 2010) In February, we had a great time celebrating Valentine's Day with the kids after they finished their reading hour with our volunteers. The kids decorated some fish bowl jars with colored tissue paper and good, old fashioned creativity. The jars were then filled with candy and valentine's for them to enjoy or to give away. We are constantly amazed by the kids' creativity with these art projects, and they really seem to enjoy the arts and crafts aspect of our program. Thanks to our volunteer Jennifer C. for taking on the reins for this art project again!

We also want to give a shout-out to Timothy Yim, my amazing brother, who has -- in the course of just a couple of days - brought some fantastic changes to KRS' technical side, getting us a domain name (www.kidsreadingtosucceed.org) and revamping our website so it is more user-friendly. More changes on the way, so keep checking in!
