Volunteering as a Group
KRS is grateful for the support of the many groups who have expressed an interest in helping us inspire children with a love of reading. For more information on volunteering as a group, please read this handout.
Volunteering as a Guest Speaker
KRS welcomes volunteers to serve as guest speakers on any interesting topic that incorporates literacy (which is, pretty much, anything!). Guest speakers often lead our kids in a variety of interactive and fun projects. Past projects include executing upon a science module, following a recipe, reading music, creating art, writing poetry, acting out a script, and taking part in a mock trial. KRS' speakers comes from all walks of life and include government officials, journalists, musicians, athletes, chefs, authors, legal professionals, law enforcement, bankers, entertainment industry executives, and much more! For more information and guidelines on serving as a guest speaker, please read this handout.
