Highlights from our December Program!

In December, our speaker at Villa 500 was Children's Choice Book Awards 2014 Illustrator of the Year and Disney illustrator for Sofia the First, Finding Dory, and Moana, Grace Lee, who spoke to our students about her work, answered questions, and led the children in their own drawings of Hei Hei, the character from Moana!  The children asked more than 20 questions and nearly 3/4 of the children presented their drawings for the class to see.  At Jackson Elementary, the American Red Cross presented the Pillowcase Project, a program that increases awareness and understanding of natural hazards and teaches safety, emotional coping skills, and personal preparedness.  Special thanks to all of our volunteers, both leaders and readers!  The kids had a great time!  Our next program will be January 14th.  Please click the 'Get Involved' tab if you would like to volunteer.
