Highlights from our February Program!

In February, our speaker at Villa 500 was Maria Alexander, author of the 2016 Bram Stoker Award nominated novel, Snowed, and noted children's book writer.  She spoke to our children about writing and becoming an author.  She also shared research about her in-progress novel and the children asked many questions about getting started in writing.  At Jackson Elementary, Julie Tsuchiya of the Kids Reading to Succeed Board of Directors led the children through a Valentine's Day themed workshop.  The children had a great time learning about writing and making Valentines with our volunteers!  Our next program will be March 4th.  Please click the 'Get Involved' tab if you would like to volunteer.
